26 Watling Street, Lachtmere House: The Pre-Dystopian Future of 2075

This project explores future living and working in 50 years, responding to climate change, reduced agricultural output, and increased reliance on technologies such as 3D food printing.

Located in Canterbury, a UNESCO World Heritage city, the scheme proposes a sensitive mixed-use development with a public ground floor for exhibition, retail, or VR workspace, and upper-floor adaptable live/work apartments that combine domestic and professional functions. The design focuses on flexibility, sustainability, and technological integration while respecting and complementing the historic urban context.
